Elements: Conflict
This first blog is that last out of the five elements; Conflict.
Conflict
The conflict is introduced near the end. Miles is sitting outside after his run and you can hear his inner thought grow more negative as he thinks to himself. His thoughts go back to something that happened last summer, and the conflict is introduced then. This conflict is only introduced, but it's a major plot point of the film, so it can't be solved in just the opening. The audience can use this, though, to see how weak Miles's state of mind is and how he doesn't like to think about any bad things that could upset him.
